summer2016-1-thanks

WITH THE WORD „THANKS“, WHICH WE FORMED DURING OUR SOMMERCAMP AT THE BLACK SEA COAST, WE WANT TO ADRESS ALL OF YOU, WHO WERE INVOLVED IN MAKING THIS SUMMER UNFORGETTABLE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR FINANCIAL GIFTS, VISITS AND PRAYERS! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND GENEROSITY!!!

The three month summer holidays were full of actions, so by now at the end of August we feel a little tired, but very satisfied and thankful. We had the privilege to go through a special time of blessing and our hearts are filled with thanksgiving.
In June we spent two amazing weeks in Germany with 32 people from our three day care centers. And it was for the first time that we could take five children from our Petrovka center with us on this very special journey. Visiting many interesting places, like a toy museum, an old castle, an adventure park and enjoying the beautiful nature of the Erzgebirge region made these days memorable. We are overwhelmed by the hospitality of our German friends and want to thank everyone who helped to make this trip unforgettable. By the way all kids and youngsters, who were with us at this journey gained weight, an obvious proof for the awesome reception.?
summer2016-2-beachThanks to our faithful friends from Germany and Luxemburg we could invite 135 children and young people from our day care centres to spent a week at the shore of the beautiful Black Sea at the end of July. Our annual summer camp was a special and unique time for many different reasons – for instance because we had the chance to invite six kids from Moldova and also because God blessed us with a wonderful atmosphere of peace and acceptance for each other making us one big family. The kids felt secure, accepted and loved. We are so thankful for our very international team of helpers. It was amazing to work alongside with all of these great people. Many parents were actually speaking of the positive changes they noticed after the return of their kids. Praise God!
In the following week we organised together with other youth organisations and churches a Christian youth camp. This was another highlight for the teenagers and young adults we work with.
summer2016-3-gameAt the end of the summer holidays we had the privilege to host a wonderful team from our German partners in Zwickau. Together we planned and run the first day camp in Petrovka, the village were our third centre is situated. Together with up to 60 people daily we played, danced, sung, prayed and grew together as a community. It is such a blessing to be a part of these moments and to see how our kids develop and change.
Tomorrow Ukrainian kids start their new academic year in school. We are busy with making sure that each child has what it needs for attending classes. All 120 available places in our three day care centres are occupied and we face many new challenges. We are happy that on Friday our two new international volunteers from Germany will arrive and surely they will soon introduce themselves on our webpage. There you will also find new pictures from the summer activities.
Furthermore we plan to finish the additional rooms in Petrovka in autumn and also to move one mother with her four kids from a very violent household. Additionally we are organising medical treatment for two of our kids in Germany. They need special intervention they cannot receive in the Ukraine.

We would like to thank you also in the name of our co-workers, kids, youngsters and families for all your support. Without the donations from aboard and inside Ukraine we could not serve the way we serve. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!

Slavik & Nicole Borisuk with Rebekka and Sarah and the kids and team from Odessa
